Commercials

So I’ve been assigned another blog. ——————
During winter vacation. Seems like freedom isn't much of a thing anymore. But in spite of the depressing fact that I'm forced to write on Christmas Eve, I would lie to spread some holiday anger.
Commercials.
Commercials ruin everyone's day. Our favorite TV shows are interrupted by them. They last for 30 seconds or longer and at least 5 play in one “intermission” from the show. It seems as if they are often longer than the actual show were supposed to be watching.
"They benefit everyone", said no man ever.
Commercials do nothing for us besides make us hungry, or make our younger siblings cry because they can’t get a new toy being advertised.
Commercials are becoming a serious problem in society.
They started out on TV, now they have breached the privacy of my dearly loved YouTube experiences, and even onto little ads on my laptop.

If they were entertaining id probably enjoy them, but instead they suck the life out of me. Commercials usually try to make a point that is irrelevant, to try and force a person to buy a product. Half of the time, the product is directed towards a two year old, or an 85 year old person that can’t walk anymore.
Everyone has seen the life alert commercial at least 50 times. Society has seen it so much that it’s become a modern day joke. It was never meant for humor, but society has made it seem hilarious. Millions of memes circulate the internet relating to the commercial.

And then we have the infamous pillow pet commercials. “It’s a pillow, it’s a pet, and it’s a pillow pet”.
This commercial is meant to be direct at kids probably below 5, but it seems as if every teenage girl I know has a pillow pet… including me. The commercial has a nice ring to it, I must admit. But the amount of times I’ve seen that commercial is absurd. Every time it plays, I find myself singing along with it, almost as if it’s an involuntary action like breathing, or blinking.

Last but not least we have the “we will knock over everything so you can see why our product works best”. We all know these commercials, the ones that show the extreme klutzes. Like for a kids sippie cupThe commercial shows some kid pouring the cup of soda on top of their heads in black and white, and then they show in color the new and improved cup. These commercials get the most laughs out of me. They are so fake. No kid ever would pour a cup of soda on their heads, most kids are grateful for the soda. These commercials go to the extremes just to show one little stupid point.

Commercials half the time aren’t entertaining and just waste time that could be spent watching a show that is going to kill our brain cells. We should at least be able to decide what we would like to kill our brain cells on.

Do I really care?- High School

High School.... Where to begin.
High School is where you meet some of the people you will be with for the rest of you're life. You'll make memories that you'll never forget, and least but definitely not least it'll feel like hell when you're going through it.
Its no secret that high school is definitely a big step in life. As a freshmen you're blinded by the stereotypes to actually understand whats going on around you. You're lost in the halls, trying to push your way to your next class without being trampled by the stampede of people approaching you. You're astounded by the choices for lunch, but upset you actually have to pay for it. You're bombarded with ten pounds of homework each night. ( That's light work to all the freshies reading this out there) But still somehow you find time to enjoy all of the little opportunities that get thrown your way.

You'll never forget your freshman year, the not knowing who your friends are. Trying to fit into a cliche that doesn't fit you. All when you're trying to figure out your own self.  Sounds like fun doesn't it?
But that's not the least of it, high school in simplest terms is HELL.
We are forced to sit in a classroom, sometimes with teachers that have no idea what they are talking about. Half the time we are repeating in our heads DONT FALL ASLEEP, IM SO HUNGRY, WHEN IS THIS CLASS OVER, WHY IS SHE/HE SO STUPID, SOMEONE KILL ME NOW.
Its an endless wheel of torture. We are forced to sit in class with sometimes below average students that act like they couldn't solve the problem 2+2 or 2x=6 for their life.
We are subjected to at least 45 minutes of the same class EVERYDAY. Its not as if we had each class every other day, no. Every day the teachers come to school with a death plan for each child.

The classes have their own problem, but then we are forced to walk in the halls, fighting our way to our next class only to meet a wave of jocks standing at the only stairwell in your route to class. The walking in the halls never gets easier, freshman year it may seem the worst, but in reality, it never changes. We just become more adjusted to where never to walk during which periods. Not only is the clutter bad, but at least once a day, one kid has the nerve to fart in the hallway as if the smell was a polite as daisies.

Also, there are always “those couples” that stand in the hall way stopping every 5 seconds to kiss or to hug, as if they weren’t going to see them the next period.  There are also those couples that feel its necessary to take out their sexual frustration out in the hallways. If I am able to see your tongue is down each other’s throats i have a serious problem.
This is only 1/8 of the experience of highschool. Most of the other stuff is too bitter to swallow.

The struggles of being a teenager. When is the plate full enough?

The struggles of being a teenager. When is the plate full enough?
Hey, Its Imane. You probably already know that because you're on my blog. To start off, this blogging experience is really new to me, so don't judge if it seems a bit boring. I mean i know my tumblr is a blog but its just with pictures, not actually my words. Just seems as if other people are better at putting words together for me. You know?
So this is a homework assignment. One of the many i have tonight. Go honors classes .__. . Homework these days are really aggravating. School in general is aggravating. All the classes, dealing with the same bullshit all day. ** Im really starting to understand Holden Caulfield's point of view on life**.  Call me a pessimist, i dont care. But what i do care about is the amount i sleep i get a night, and how i"ve lost my social life. Not really sure if i started off with one, but it seems that my tumblr posts have decreased recently so there goes my evidence. Im really getting tired of high school. 8 periods a day. My tolerance level reaches the roof after 2nd period to be honest. Im tired of having to stare at the same teachers, that never seem to teach me anything with value. And im really getting tired with the amount of homework i get a day. I guess i might as well blog about that.

It's been said many of times that many teachers and parents ask for too much.
Teachers act as if there aren't about 6 other classes in the day.  the amount of homework given each night is unbearable.  Students are left with a maximum of 4 hours of sleep. All just for an attempt to be the perfect student.  We are expected to do all of the homework and do chores. Everyday parents come home and complain about their long stressful day at work but they never care I think of the stressful day that we've had. They never seem to  assume that our day was as bad as theirs. They complain the house is a mess and how it is our responsibility to clean it.
It is unfair to automatically assume that students have the time and ability to complete such tasks. Yet we always seem to have the golden child who is well rounded gets 4.5 GPA and does sports. And we are all compared to them. Whether it is either ourselves, teachers, or our parents. It is unfair to expect so much out of a single person. And yet parents still have the need to tell stories about how when they we're children. But yet it isn't them growing up in the 21St century.
