High School.... Where to
begin.
High School is where you
meet some of the people you will be with for the rest of you're life. You'll
make memories that you'll never forget, and least but definitely not least
it'll feel like hell when you're going through it.
Its no secret that high
school is definitely a big step in life. As a freshmen you're blinded by the
stereotypes to actually understand whats going on around you. You're lost in
the halls, trying to push your way to your next class without being trampled by
the stampede of people approaching you. You're astounded by the choices for
lunch, but upset you actually have to pay for it. You're bombarded with ten
pounds of homework each night. ( That's light work to all the freshies reading this out there) But still somehow you find time to enjoy all of
the little opportunities that get thrown your way.
You'll never forget your
freshman year, the not knowing who your friends are. Trying to fit into a
cliche that doesn't fit you. All when you're trying to figure out your own
self. Sounds like fun doesn't it?
But that's not the
least of it, high school in simplest terms is HELL.
We are forced to sit in
a classroom, sometimes with teachers that have no idea what they are talking
about. Half the time we are repeating in our heads DONT FALL ASLEEP, IM SO HUNGRY, WHEN IS THIS CLASS
OVER, WHY IS SHE/HE SO STUPID, SOMEONE KILL ME NOW.
Its an endless wheel of
torture. We are forced to sit in class with sometimes below average students
that act like they couldn't solve the problem 2+2 or 2x=6 for their life.
We are subjected to at least 45 minutes of the same class
EVERYDAY. Its not as if we had each class every other day, no. Every day the
teachers come to school with a death plan for each child.
The classes have their own problem, but then we are forced to walk
in the halls, fighting our way to our next class only to meet a wave of jocks
standing at the only stairwell in your route to class. The walking in the halls
never gets easier, freshman year it may seem the worst, but in reality, it
never changes. We just become more adjusted to where never to walk during which
periods. Not only is the clutter bad, but at least once a day, one kid has the
nerve to fart in the hallway as if the smell was a polite as daisies.
Also, there are always “those
couples” that stand in the hall way stopping every 5 seconds to kiss or to hug,
as if they weren’t going to see them the next period. There are also those couples that feel its necessary
to take out their sexual frustration out in the hallways. If I am able to see
your tongue is down each other’s
throats i have a serious
problem.
This is only 1/8 of the experience of highschool. Most of the
other stuff is too bitter to swallow.
